I am a lover of all things beauty treatments. There is nothing better than taking some time to pamper yourself especially when life throws you a busy lifestyle and stress. Even if this is at home with a face mask, bath and a glass of wine (not optional) or a spa/beauty salon to really indulge.
As much I love the change in seasons, especially Autumn, it does play havoc on my skin. Throw in a house move to another city and boom, my skin is the first thing to show the stress 🙁
I recently had the extreme pleasure of being treated to a Tri Active facial by Clarins, (thanks Mum) and I thought I’d take some time to share my experience and what I learnt.
Greeted by my lovely therapist I was taken to the beauty room. Candles, dimmed lights and that tranquil music instantly makes you feel at ease, and when she mentioned she had the heated blanket on, well, I think I superman dived onto the bed!
The treatment started with the therapist asking me about my skin and she took a good look, confirming that, yes, I was dehydrated, and that was why my skin was dry but would become greasy during the day. I thought the amount of Yorkshire tea I drank would be a good compromise for water but clearly not…or is it the amount of wine I drink that has this effect? Hmmm. Anyway, lesson number 1, drink so much more water.
The treatment is not just a facial, it includes a hand, foot, shoulder and neck massage too.
Every Treatment is unique: the Beauty Therapist adapts her movements and the products to your needs and wishes. At the heart of the Treatment is a 25-minute Anti-Ageing Facial Massage which lifts, reshapes, firms and relaxes. A unique massage that sculpts the contours of the face, giving immediately visible rejuvenating results.
It was divine; relaxing, peaceful and I felt I was really having a touch of luxury on my skin.
My therapist picked the following products for me:
Everything has left my skin feeling so soft, hydrated and my complexion looks more even. My favourite products from this treatment are:
The double serum is award winning and for a reason. I have used this before and I find that no other moisturiser or serum has the same effect. It combines two anti-defying formulas in one, which allows 20 of the most powerful plant extracts, with anti-ageing ingredients, to revitalise the skin.
The gentle exfoliator brightening toner feels like it really is having an effect on your face. This will be the white dead nettle ingredient that actually tingles. This exfoliator is fluid and smooth, its doesn’t have any rough coarse ingredients that usually form a exfoliator, but using this regularly will prevent a build up of dead skin cells.
What I learnt today:
The treatment was finished with a gentle head massage and a more in-depth conversation about your skin and the therapists recommendations.
I did not want this to end, it was #TheVery
I’ll be sure to keep up with this for perfect winter skin.
So I now have 3 days off to help me with my final last bit of the move. However, I have another blog post coming tomorrow and its all about another autumn treat.
Next stop London for new adventures! xx
