Halloween, Bonfire Night…. over. Which means we can really start to think and talk about Christmas without people judging us. Yay!
So, i wanted to spend the month of November talking about one of the best things about Christmas. The party season, we all love to Party right?
If you follow me on Instagram, Twitter or like my Facebook page you will know that a few months ago, i worked on a filming project for work, all about the key looks and trends for the big events this Christmas, the House of Fraser way!
If you go onto the house of Fraser website now, you will find some very cool party wear edits, that will help you shop between glitter, embellishments, black tie outfits, matching co-ordinated sets and all things lace. However, as you may be aware my job is to create content for our teams in store that will also educate them on key trends, and excite them with styling hints and tips to provide and offer the best product knowledge service in stores.
So we created a set of short video clips and styling guides that cover 2 big Christmas party events; The Christmas Office party and New Years Eve and one about that investment piece that every women needs, the Little Black Dress.
I work with Rachael covering product knowledge training (she has been the editing queen on this project) and with the added help of a lifestyle formal buyer, the styling manager, 3 models and a small production crew we created storyboards, scripts, a wardrobe of party clothes and an intimate party set that provided the perfect backdrop for our films.
What i have decided to do for the month of November is create a party wear blog series that will help you find the perfect outfit this Christmas and share some more about party wear. Over the next 3 weeks i will cover:
Each of these posts will include, trends, styles to look out, my #very picks, fabrics, secret little helpers (shape wear), fabulous finishing touches and an added bonus, how to create the perfect makeup look!
We were really fortunate to have NARS, Bobbi Brown and Charlotte Tilbury come and take us through their key looks too for the party season.
On the 30th November i will also be adding an extra post where i will be interviewing one of our buyers…. The buyers interview: the party edit.
So, by the time 1st December comes round you will be equipped with all the Party styling knowledge you could dream of to go and be the bell of the ball. Think, glitter, sequins, velvet, florals, leather and furs! Its not to be missed.
If you don’t want to miss out on any of my November Party posts, please follow my blog by email subscription and my posts will automatically pop up in your inbox. Now wouldn’t that be lovely?
Let me help you make your party look #TheVery xx
