I am a Yorkshire girl, currently living in London with my boyfriend Michael and my dog Aggy-May. I am also on my first journey as a mum to be.
I started to write this blog in September 2016, as I wanted a way to talk about my job and my love for fashion. However, since then, it has already started to evolve.
I have always worked in fashion retail and my current job, styling, selling and product advisor, takes me all over the country. I work with incredible brands and products everyday, alongside the coolest buyers and designers. I work on projects from launching new brands, design styling and product knowledge videos and generally collaborate with a lot of brands helping them achieve cool things through product training.
I moved to London in October 2016 and have loved every minute of it. Although, I am a Yorkshire girl at heart, London is an amazing place for opportunities, meeting new people and for creating new adventures. A great place for blog inspiration.
I love style but I don’t follow it to become a leader in fashion. I take an interest to make myself feel confident. I use fashion to help identify my own style and to stand out in my own way. I use trend inspiration to create a sense of style with individuality.
The blog will cover my experiences of a first time mum, starting with my pregnancy. Its scary, funny and damn right overwhelming. It helps me to share these adventures, well, with anyone who will listen, but more importantly I hope they help any other new mum to be.
This blog is about my journey of rediscovering myself as a person, mum and style enthusiast. It aims to provide smiles, stories, adventures, inspiration and hints and tips on fashion, motherhood and general life.
Oh and why the Very? The very is whatever you want it to be. It could be you. It could be your friends, that top you saw, your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, kids or it could simply be tomorrow.
To be ‘the very’ is to aspire. To inspire. To dream and create dreams. To wake up and declare….today I am going to be ‘the very’ I can be.
Welcome to Verity and the very xx
